Mark Levine our national and international topics host will do a show with his guest Mohamed Musa. Mohamed comes to us from the country of Sierra Leone in western Africa and brings with him a very interesting series of issues and a first hand perspective that are unique.

Program Notes: The volunteer staff and crew of the Inside Scoop shows are planning our schedules for the next few months and would REALLY like some input from our viewers. Mark Levine, our Host will discuss with some guests the intricacies of the political maneuvering and issues on this topic…. The only thing certain on this topic is that nothing is certain. But as shown on the title of this episode, DC now appears to have it’s best chance yet to gain a vote in the House.

 
 

March 29th, 2009 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM EDT “The Labor Apprenticeship Program”

Shannon Sullivan, our Host will lead a new series of shows on labor issues with this one on the union apprenticeship programs. We have confirmed guests from IUOE, IBEW, and UA (Others are still possible). We will be talking with union apprenticeship directors from a variety of trades on what union jobs have to offer the youth of today, impact of the president’s economic stimulus on the metropolitan DC building trades. In short, For over 100 years, union construction trades have built our nation’s capital region. Local unions organized workers to provide fair wages and job safety, create funds to support members’ health care and pensions and train new generations of skilled construction trades workers. These are workers who continue our tradition of creating and restoring the buildings that make our community and nation proud of Washington DC.

Mark Levine, our nationally syndicated talk radio/TV host, and Republican Strategist, Mike Lane went at it over AIG. Mark supports the 90% tax on bonuses of executives who are getting millions of dollars while their companies are on taxpayer life support. Mike does not support the tax.
